Topic: Freews and recommendation (extended version)<\/li>\n<li>Submission of an application to the <a href=\"http:\/\/i-semantics.tugraz.at\/i-challenge\/call-for-submissions\">Linked Data Cup<\/a> at I-Semantics 2013 Conference with my colleagues <a href=\"http:\/\/vafopoulos.org\/\">Michail Vafalopoulos<\/a> and his team at the National Technical University of Athens. The report is also available <a href=\"http:\/\/papers.ssrn.com\/sol3\/papers.cfm?abstract_id=2264958\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>The submission with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.di.uniovi.es\/~labra\">Jose Emilio Labra<\/a> and\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.staff.science.uu.nl\/~jeuri101\/homepage\/\">Johan Jeuring<\/a> to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lirmm.fr\/~croitoru\/GKR\/index.html\">IJCAI 2013 Workshop on Graph Structures for Representation and Reasoning<\/a>\u00a0has been accepted!<\/li>\n<li>The submission with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seerc.org\/index.php?option=com_entities&amp;view=person&amp;layout=details&amp;id=5\">Iraklis Paraskakis<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seerc.org\/index.php?option=com_entities&amp;view=person&amp;layout=details&amp;id=4\">Dimitrios Kourtesis<\/a> to the journal of the Future Generation of Computer Systems has been accepted with major reviews! I am happy because I completely agree with the reviewers and it is an opportunity to improve the contents.<\/li>\n<li>I have finished my proposal of Secondment within the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.relate-itn.eu\/\">RELATE-ITN project<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Coding and Tools<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li>I have started to design a taxonomy collecting main KPI from the CSMIC initiative and other existing works to create <strong>the Cloudindex<\/strong>.\u00a0Some initial outcomes can be checked here (it is very similar to my work at the <a href=\"http:\/\/data.webfoundation.org\">Webindex<\/a>, however the computation process must be added and the URIs are not yet accesible):\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/seqos-web.herokuapp.com\/\">SeQOS taxonomy<\/a><\/li>\n<li>I have also created a <a href=\"http:\/\/seqos-test.herokuapp.com\">synthetic application<\/a> to produce observations in XML. The plan is to be able to process RSS, JSON, RDF and XML.<\/li>\n<li>A version a <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/chemaar\/seqos\/tree\/master\/apps\/seqos-pubby\">Pubby <\/a>and <a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/chemaar\/seqos\/tree\/master\/apps\/snorql\">SNORQL <\/a>have been also customized.<\/li>\n<li>Next steps include the alignment of this application and an existing service (e.g.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/trust.salesforce.com\/trust\/status\/\" target=\"_blank\">http:\/\/trust.salesforce.<wbr>com\/trust\/status\/<\/wbr><\/a>) to process observations and show statistics using <a href=\"http:\/\/aksw.org\/Projects\/CubeViz.html\">CubeViz<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>&#8230;I plan to report this on-going work to the CSMIC initiative!<\/li>\n<li>I was also testing the <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.cloudera.com\/blog\/2012\/10\/cloudera-impala-real-time-queries-in-apache-hadoop-for-real\/\">IMPALA tool of Cloudera <\/a>for real time queries.<\/li>\n<li>I would like also to emphasize the excellent work of the <a href=\"http:\/\/publicspending.net\/about\">Media Lab Team<\/a> at the University of Athens creating the &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/publicspending.net\/\">PublicSpending.net<\/a>&#8221; portal. My contribution has been small but I hope to contribute more in the future.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<h2>Teaching<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>During my stay in Spain in the Easter holidays (first week of may) I was invited by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.di.uniovi.es\/~labra\">Jose Emilio Labra<\/a> to give some seminars in the Semantic Web Course in the context of the <a href=\"http:\/\/156.35.98.1\/master\/ingenieriaweb\/ingenieriawebnie.html\">Master of the Web Engineering<\/a>. I am very grateful for this opportunity and I hope I can repeat. I was presenting part of my PhD and my current research <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seerc.org\">SEERC<\/a>. I think students were more or less happy with the contents! (My last lecturer had been in January I was a little bit not-trained).<\/li>\n<li>Finally I have also collaborated in reviewing and partially supervising a final degree project on sentiment analysis.
